Introduction
Concern Society Nepal, established on 31 January 2017 and officially registered in the Kavre district of Nepal, is a prominent non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to addressing critical issues related to child rights, including child participation, child protection, and access to quality education. Additionally, our organization actively engages in initiatives focused on fostering Child-Friendly Local Governance (CFLG), advocating for youth rights encompassing participation, entrepreneurship, leadership, and mobilization of volunteers. As a non-profit, non-political entity, Concern Society Nepal strives to employ innovative approaches to community-level development and youth mobilization. We foster a collaborative environment that encourages the exchange of ideas and experiences among development professionals from diverse backgrounds and disciplines. By doing so, we aim to contribute to national efforts in poverty alleviation, the protection of human rights, and the endorsement of the Declaration of CFLG.
Mission
Our mission is to reinforce the relationship between the state and its citizens by complementing and supplementing the initiatives of localgovernments, fostering increased local participation, contributing to policydevelopment, and inspiring action while prioritizing the rights of children,youth, and human rights concerns in Nepal.
Vision
Our vision is to create a dynamic, democratic, and productive society in Nepal, where children and youth fully
exercise their rights and every individual leads a dignified and productive life, while actively influencing policies
and actions
at all levels to safeguard their rights and foster sustainable and socially
inclusive development.
Goal
Our goal is to advocate for good governance, establish a Child and Youth Friendly Local Government, and
facilitate sustainable community development in our operational areas, with a focus on ensuring the fulfilment
of rights and responsibilities
of the citizens.
Objectives
● Designing and executing projects and programs focused on child protection, child participation, overall
child rights, and education.
● Raising awareness and implementing initiatives to create a Child and Youth Friendly
Environment and Local Government.
● Promoting voluntarism and providing support for the implementation of Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs).
● Developing and implementing projects and programs to foster youth development, youth
participation, social entrepreneurship, and overall youth rights.
● Creating and conducting essential programs aligned with community
activities to ensure sustainable development, protection of natural resources,
advocacy for climate change and its adaptation, women and children's development,
empowerment, gender equality, and disadvantaged community upliftment.
● Offering necessary assistance for infrastructural developmental program.
